ORDINANCE NO. 2 514
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL ·oF THE CIT~ OF
PALO ALTO AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR 1969-1970 TO MAKE AN ADDITIONAL
APPROPRIATION FOR ~HE CITY'S CONTRIBUTION
TO CONSTRUCTION PROJECT NO. 67-5, DOWNTOWN
LIBRARY AND RECREATION CENTER.
WHEREAS: pursuant to the provisions of Section 12
of Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the.
Council did on June 23, 1969 adopt a bµdget for the fiscal
year 1969-1970~ and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to make an additional
appropriation in excess of the sums appropriated by said
budget for the City's contribution t'o Project No. 67-5,
Downtown Library and Recreation Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, the council of the City of Palo Alto
does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The appropriation in the capital Improve
ment Fund for the Downto•·in Lib~~ry and Recreation. Ce!!"tf'.'!r is
increased from Five-hundred ninety-four thousand' five-
hundred· dollars ($5S4; 500} ·to Six-ht!ndred f'i:fty · t.hoµsand
two-hundred seventy dollars ($650,270)and that the unappro-

priated balance of the Capital Improvement Fund is corre-
spoildingly-decteased.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective
im.me9;i.ately as provided in Section :12 ;.cr>f Article III df the
