ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING SECTION3 18. 90; 040 ltND 13. 92. 020 OF
PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE SE'l'T!NG CERTAIN FILING
AND APPEAL FEES
SECTION 1. Section 18.90.040 of th6 Palo Alto Municip~l
Code is herE"by amended to r~o.d as follows:
"18.90.040 Filing Fees. Applications shall be
accompanied by the following filing fees no par~ of
which shall be returnable to the applicant:
(a) For a us~ permit:
(b) For a variance:

SECTION 2. Section 18.92.020 of the Palo Alto Mu1.icipal
Code is hereby·amended to read.as fol.lows:
11 18.92.020 Filing-Procedure. An appeal ,shall be in writ
ing and filed in duplicate with the city clerk within ten
days after the mailing of notice of the· decision of the
zoning·administr~tor. An ~ppeal not filed within such
time shall· be dis.nissed· by· the commission. The appeal
shall state wherein the zoning admi11istrator has failed
to comply with this title. Before accepting such appeal
a fee of one~hundred dollars shall be paid to the city
clerk for an appeal of a use permit decision and a
·fee of seventywfive dollars shall be paid to the city
clerk for appeal of a variance decision .
. The city clerk shall immediately forward a copy of
said appeal to the administrator who within ten days
after filing· such appeal shall transmit· to the planning
conunission .the original application and copies of all
other papet'\f> cons ti tu ting .,the record up9n which the
action appealed· from was taken, .including a written
statement· setting forth the reasons for his decision."
