ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AfJ'iEN6ING SUBSECTION (a) OF. SECTION 2. 013 .100 OF THE
-PAI,-d ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADD OCTOBER 12 1 COLUMBUS·
DAY, AS A REGULAR MUNICIPAL HOLIDAY
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection (a) of Section 2.08.100 of the Palo
Al to Municipal Code is hereby amended to re.ad . as follows:
"(a) Regular holidais· The following days are declared
to be holidays on w ich municipal business of the city
shall be suspended: ·

Every Saturday and Sunday

Thanksgiving and the d?y following
December 25th
In the event that any of the·. aforementioned days, except
Sunday itself, falls on S~nday, the following Monday shall
be considered a holiday. In the event that any of the
aforementioned days, except $aturday itself, falls on
Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered a holiday~
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall. become effectb?e upon the •
expiration of thirty days from its passage.
