ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
/\UTHORI?.ING CLOSING OF THE 1968-19.69 BUDGET .
The Council ~f the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:

SECTION 1. The City controller is hereby. authorized.·anddirected.
(a) Close the 1968-1969 Budget Accounts in all funds and to make
such inter-fund tra~sfers of monies as required by City Charter
and ordinance; the foregoing transactions to be reflected in
the Annual Financial Report for 1968-1969.
(b) To .establish in the reserve or ··liability accounts of the various
funds amounts sufficient to pro~ide fo~ payment of 1968-1969
purchase orders and contracts which are outstanding as of June
30, 1969.
{c) To increase appropriations in the Utilities Funds in amounts

sufficient to provide for the pm.:cha.iSe u£ aciditiona! water, gas,
electric, and refuse collection services, in the event the sales
of said utilities services exceed the original estimates con-
taine~ in the 1968~1969 budg~t.
To carry forward and continue in effect appropriations in
Capital Improvement and Gas Tax Street Improvement Funds for
projects which are not completed.
SECTION 2. This ordinance being an appropriation·for the usual cur
rent expenses of the City as .authorized by Palo Alto Municipal Code
Section 2.04.375(:6) ,shall take effect Upon adoption.
