ORDINANCE OFlTHE COUNCIL OF THE CIT~ OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING SECTION 18.22.100 OFTHE PALO ALTO MUNI-
CIPAL CODE TO CHANGE PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR
HOSPITALS AND REST HOMES
The Council of the City of Palci Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 18.22.100 of the Palo Alto Municipal

Code is amended to read as follows:
11 18.22.100 Automobile parkins. Automobile parking spaces
required shall be one and one-quarter spaces for each
studio dwelling unit, one'and one-half spaces for each
dwelling unit with One bedroom, and two spaces for each
dwelling unit with two or more bedrooms; of such spaces,
at least one per unit shall be covered.
One space shall .be required for each two guest rooms
in· each.boarding or lodging house, One space shall be
. required for each two beds which may potentially be placed
. in bed-·roorns ·in a-hbsoital or rest home. At least one
space shall be required for each four seats which may
potentially be provided in the main room of a church or
r~ligious institution, on~ space for each one hundred fifty
square fe~t of floor area or three spaces shall.be required
for each office, whichever is greater; in other permitted
use buildings; such space.may not be provided in the
required front yard or in.the first ten feet bf any re-
. quired side yard which ab~ts a street. 11
SECTION. 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon the
expiration of thirty days from the date of 0its passage.
