(ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1968-1969
TO MAKE AN APPROPRIATION FOR CELEBRATION OF THE
CITY Is 7 5TH ANN:t;'VERSARY
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council did on
June 10, 1968 adopt a budqet for the fiscal year 1968-1969; and
WHEREAS,. the Council wishes to make an appropriation in exce~s
of the sums appropriated by said budget in support of various com
munity activities to celebr-~te and commemo'rate the 75th anniversary
of the incorporation of the City of Palo Alto,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. That the appropriation in the General Fund for
comn\unity Benefits be increased in the amount of $36,700 and that
the budgeted trans.fer of Estimated Sales Tax Revenue to the Capital
Improvement Fund be correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. That the disbursement of monies appropriated in
Section 1 hereof shall be made in general accordance with the
schedul(;l entitled "Palo Alto Diamond Anniversary Celebration,
1894-1969, Anticipated Expenses of Planned Activities" ,attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Manag~r and City Controller shall
establish appropriate control procedures.
SECTION 4 ·• That this ordinance shall become effective im
mediately as provided in section 12 of Article III of the Charter
and Section 2~04.375 of thE::! Palo Alto Municipal code.
