ORDINANCE NO. 2481
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 22.080020
TO DELETE THEREFROM CERTAIN LANOS DEDICATED FOR PARK,
PLAYGROUND, RECREATION OR CONSERVATION PURPOSES
(JOINT SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article VIII of the Charter of the City
of Palo Alto, the council passed Ordinance No. 2252 (now Chapter
22.08 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code) setting forth in separately
numbered sectioris the common name or other designation and the
legal description of those lands owned or controlled by the City
which are used or intended to be used for park purposes; and
WHEREAS, on November 5, 1968 the voters of the City of
Palo Alto in, an election duly called and held pursuant to Article
' ' VIII of the Charter, voted to discontinue for ?ark, playground,
recreation or conservation purposes the use.of certain lands
dedicated to said ~ses arid set forth in said Chapter 22008;
NOW, THEREFORE, the council oft.he City of Palo Alto does

ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 22.QS.020 of the PAMC is hereby amended
by deleting from the parcel kno:wn: as Byxbee Park and city-owned
Baylar.ds that portion of said parcel describet.l in EXHIBIT A at-

tached hereto, and the City Engineer .:ts~' directed to so indicate
On Exhibit A-2 to section 22'~ 08. 020.
SECTION 2. The land describ~d in EXHIBIT A attached hereto
is deemed held by·the City of Palo-Alto ih fee. The City may
sell or otherwise dispose of said ·1ands in ·the same manner as
it may dispose of other property of.-.. the City no longer required
for municipal purposes.
SECTION 3. Except' as here.in above amended, -Chapter 2 2 <> 0 8 of

the PAMC shall remain in full force and effect.,

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
as provided ---in section 2. 04 • 375 of the PAMC.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PORTION OF BYXBEE PARK AND CITY-OWNED BAYLANDS
DISCONTINUED FOR PARK USE
BEGINNING at the southwesterly-corner of that certain
26.66 acre tract of land conveyed to the City of Palo Alto by
Peter Faber et ux by Deed recorded July 19, 1926 in. Volume 246
of Official records at page 168, Records of San Mateo County,
California; thence s 65°00'E, 240.24 feet; thence S 63°15'E,
152.40 feet; thehce N 51°37'E, 25.32 feet; thence East 730.88
feet to the true point of beginning; thence S 38°23 1 E, 1076 feet,
more or less, to a point which bears N 38°23'W, 151.94 feet
from the most easterly corner of the Sewage Treatment Plan-t
exclusion as said exclusion is shown on Exhibit A-2 of Section
22~08.020 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code: thence S 51°37'W,
at right angles, 43 feet, more or less, to a point on the
northerly boundary line of said Sewage Treatment Plant exclusion;
thence in a northwesterly direction, along the northerly boundary
line of said Sewage Treatment Plant exclusion, 1270 feet, more
or less, to the point of intersection of said northerly boundary
line with a.line running due south from a point 250.00 feet
distant along a line running due west from said true point Of
beginning; thence North 40 fe'et, more or less to said named linei
thence East 250.00 feet to the true point of beginning, being a
portion of Rancho Rinconada del Arroyo de San Francisquito, and·.
containing 4.5 Acres~ more or less.
