ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YF'...AR 1968-1969
TO ¥.AKE ·A CHANGE IN APPROPRIATIONS FOR WORK TO BE
PERFORMED.BY FORCE ACCOUNT FOR FOOTHILLS GAS
EXTENSION, PROJECT 68-82

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of' Section 12 of
Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council.
did on June 10, 1968, adopt a budget for the fiscal year
1968-69; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to make a change in appropria
tions in the sums appropriated by said budget for the work to
be performed by force account for Foothills Gas Extension,
Project 68-82;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION. 1. That the appropriation in the Gas Fund for
Salaries be increased from Two Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand
Seven Hundred, Eighty-Eight Dollars ($227,788) to Two Hundred
Sixty-Two Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-Eight Dollars
($262,388); th.at the appropriati,on for Materials and Cupplies
be increased from,Fifty-Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty
Dollars ($59,760) to One Hundred Nineteen Thousand One Hundred
Sixty Dollars ($119, 160) ;-that the appropriation for. Outside

Services be increased .from Sixteen Thousand Secenty-Dollars
($16,070) to Thirty-One Thousand One H\.m4red Se.verity Dollars
($31,170); that the appropriation for Services from the
General Fund be increased from Two-Hundrecl Nineteen Thousand

appropriation for Services from Other Funds be increased
from Twenty-Five Thousand Seven Hundred Eight I>Ollars ($25,708)
to Forty-Five Thou&and Seven Hundred Eight Dollars {$45,708);
and that the appropriation for Capital Purchas~s be corres
pondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall become effective
irmnediately pursuant to Section 12 of Article III of the
Charter.
