• &tGINAL ORDINANCE NO. 2469
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF THE BAYLANDS NATURE INTERPRETIVE CENTER
WHEREAS, Section 5 of Article VIII of the Charter of the
City of Palo Alto requires that befo:::e any substantial building,
construction, .reconstruction or development is cor<.enced or
approved upon or with _respect to any land held by the City for
park: purpoaes the Counci 1 shall first cau:~ ,..:·to be prepared and
by ordinance approve and adopt a ?lan therefor; and
WHEREAS, the City -council has placed Byxbee Par~ and City
Owned Bay Lands on che list of lands used or intended to be
used for park purp~ses; and
WHEREAS, the Council proposed to proceed with development
of a portion of Byxb~e Park and City oWned Bay Lands pursuant to
a plan pr~pared therefor.
NOW, ·rnEREF'ORE, the Counci i of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. That the plan attached hereto, marked EXHIBIT A,
identifiEd as "Development Plan -· Baylands Nature Interpretive
Center 11 be and the same hereby is approved and' adopted.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon the
expiration of thi~ty days from its passage.
