ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF TilE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING CLOSING OF THE 1967:--1968 BUDGET
The Council of the City of Palo Alto·_ does ORDAIN as fol-
SECTION 1.-> The City Controller is hereby authorized and
directed to:
-(a) Close the 1967-1968 Budget Accounts in ·all funds
.and to make such iriter:..fund tran~fers of monies as
____ _J:eg_~~reil by City Charter and ordinance; the fore
going transactions to -he--re~frected-in-the-Annual -
Financial Report for 1~67-1968 •
. (b) To establish in the reserve or liability accounts of
the various funds amounts sufficient to provide for
payment of 1967.;..1968 purchase orders and contracts
which are outstanding as of June 30, 1968.
(c) To increase appropriations in the Utilities Funds in
amounts sufficient to provide for the purchase of
additional water, gas, electric, and refuse col
lection servic~s, in the event the sales of ~aid
utilities services e~ceed the original estimates
contained in.the 1967-1968.budget.

(d) To carry for-Ward and continue in effect appropriations
in. the Capttal Improvement and Gas Tax.Street Improve
ment Funds for projects which are not. campleted.
