HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2440• • ORDINANCE 'N'o. 2440 :,_ lGINAL J ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO APPROVING ANO ADOPTING A PLAN FOR THE REMODELING OF ~ .· THE EX:LSTING BARN INTO AN INTERPRETIVE CENTER AND CONSTRUCTU~G A MAINTENANCE Yl,!U> FACILITY IN 'FOOTHILLS \ PARR, PROJECT NO. 63-9 ,· WHEREAS, Section S of Article VIII of the Charter of the City . ·. -·ot Pl\lo Alto requires that before any substantial building, con­ struction, reconstruction or de!velt:1pment is commenced or approved upon or with respect to an1• land held by the City for park purposes the Coun-:il shall first cause to be prepared and py ordinance -­ approve and adopt a plan therefor: ~.nd WHEREAS, the City Council did, by Ordinance No. 2252 adopted ~@pt~.ber 13, 1965, ·place Foothills Park on the list of lands used or intended to be used for park purposesr and WHEREAS, the Council proposes to pro~~ed with the remodeling of the exis.tinq barn -into an Interpretive Ce_nter and construction of a Maintenance Yard Facility in Foothills Park, Project No. 63-9, pursuant to a plan prepared therefor. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does· ORDAIN aa follows: SECTION l. That th~ final site plan for the ~emodeling of the existinq barn into an Interpretive Center and the con.~truction of , I a Maintenance Yard.Facility in Poothills Park, as presented· to the Counail on May 6, 1968 and attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby approved and adopted~ SECT:tON 2. This ordinance shall }>ecOme effective upon the expiration of thirty days from its passaqe.
