ORDINANCE NO. 2434
ORDINAHCE OF THE COUNCIL OF ntE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ·AooPTING A PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF MITCHELL PARK RECREATION CENTER BUILDING, PRQJECT 66-15
WHEREAS, Section 5 of Article VIII of the Charter of the City
of Palo Alto J:e'luires that before ariy substantial building, conE>'tru
ction, reconstruction or development is commenced or approved upon
or with respect to any land held by the City for park purposes the
Colincil shall. first cause to be prepared .. and by ordinance approve
and adopt a plan therefor; and

WHEREAS, the City Council did,· by Ordinance No. 2252, adopted
September 23, 1965, as amended by Ordinance No. 2300, adopted
July 25,,J966, ,·place Mitchell Park on the list of lands used or
iritcn'd~d to· be .used for park purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Council proposes to proceed with development
of a new Recreation Center Building in Mitchell Park pursuant to
. a plan prepared therefor.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1~ That the plan attached hereto, marked EXHIBIT A,
identified as the Mitchell Park Recreation Building be and the ..
same is hereby approved and adopted.
SECTION 2. ,This ord~nance shall' become effective upon the·
expiration· of thirty days fram its passage.
