Section 16" 2CL 010 ·of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended to add a subsection S(a) to read as follows: "S(a) ·PITCHED ROOF" The term 1 pitched roof' shall mean a roo"F"w1fh a slope of a four~inch rise: i.n a twelve-inch run, or.greater"" SECTION 2~ Section 16,200150, subsection {a) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended so that the first paragraph thereof reads as follows: ,. Section 16.20.170, subsection (b) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended so that the first paragraph . thereof reads as follows~ "(b) Projecting signs in other zones". SECTION 5. Section 16.20.180 of the Palo Alto Municipal -ww .... ___. Code is hereby amended to read as.follows: · 11 16 •. 20.180 Roof Sifns. Every roof sign shall comply with the requirements o this section! (a) Roof signs in the C-3, M-1 and M-2· zone,s and on the El Camino Real frontage only of any properties located in the C-2, C-2:CFS, C-2:GSC, C-2:GM and c-2:FGM zones: lo Area. The maximum area f~r any roof sign which is set back at least'eight feet from the edge of the roof or firewall shall be as indicated on Table 3. The maximum area for any sign not so set back shall be as indicated on Table 2 or. Table 3,, ·whichever is les3, but need not be less than forty square feet. 20 Hei~ht. Any roof sign which is set back at least eig t feet from the edge of the roof or firewall shall have a maximum height of fifteen feet from the firewall or place on the roof where: the base of the sign is ·· erected_d Any sign not so set back shall have a maximum height of four feet: above the firewall or place on the· roof where the! base of the sign is er·ected.
