ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF 'l'HE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS ''EL CAMINO REAL ANNEXATION
!17!1-68 11 TO THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 25th-day of March, 1968, the Council of the

City of Palo Alto did pass and adopt Resolution No. 4104 giving
n0tice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited terr:ttory tC>

WHEREAS, \;·aid Resolution No. 4104 did contain a notice of thi..'.!·
day, hour and plac~ when and where the Council of the City of Palo
Alto would hear protests made by any person owning real property
within the territory proposed to be annexed, the ttme of said
heari.ng being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from
the date of passage of $aid Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on i:he 6th day of May, 1968, ~t the hour-of 7:30
p·~m. iri the CcJuncil ·chambers_ in the City Hall of the City of Palo
Alto, County of Santa Claras Stat'e of California, said time an<l

place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution
No. 4104 for hearing protests to the said annexatf~a, the said

posed annexation and did determine thtit· protes-ts ltad not been
mad~ by public and private' owners c)f one-half of the value of the
territory proposed to· be annexed; and
WHEREAS,.said territory is· contiguous.to the City of Palo

Alto~ and is uninhabited territory in the· County of Sa~ta Clara.
NOW, TilER~FORE, the said Council of the City of Palo Alto

described to the City of Palo Alto, and does hereby further ord•in
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of
Palo Alto.
That said territory, the annexation of which to-t.he City of
Palo Alto is herein approved, is all that territory situate ih
the County of Santa {;lara, State of California, more particularly
described on EXHIBIT A attached hereto and made a part.hereof and
delineated on· the map attached· to EXHIBIT A.· and made a part hereof.
As provided in Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code, this ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.

All that certain real property situated in the County of Santa
Cara, Stat~ '>i California·, and bounded by the following de1cribed line:
Beginning_ at the point of intersection of the Southwesterly
line of El Camino Real (State Highway) with a Corporate Limits Line
of the City of Palo Alto lying opposite Engineer 1 s station 158 + 77. 50
as surveyed by the California Division of Highways, said Corporate
Limits Line being as established by Annexation "El Ca.1nin-? Real No. 4'0 ,
recorded with the Secretary of State on April 28, 1961; thence along said
