AMENDING CHAPTER 18. 84 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICiPAI...
CODE (SPE!CIAL PARKING DISTRICT REGULATIONS) TO RE-
QUIRE ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR CERTAIN USES
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 18.84.020(b) 1. of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code is hereby amended to J;"ead As follows:

versity auditoriUlJlo;, and for theatres, gene-L·al
auditoriums, stadiu.'llS and other similar places of
assembly, at least one parking space for every four
seats •
.§!:CTION 2. Section 18.84.020(b) 5. of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code is hereby amended to.read as follows:
11 5. For business or commercial buildi'ngs or
structures, one<prirking space for each one hundred
forty-four square:feet of floor area on the ground
floor, and one parking space for each 288 square
feet of floor area on the ur-·per and basement floors."
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon
the expiration of. 30 days from the date of its passage.
