ORDINANCE OF THB COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING CHAPTER 2. 04 [COti'NCIL ORGANIZATION AND
PROCEDURE] OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE TO
ESTABLISH REVISED REGULAR MEETING TIMES FOR
STANDING COMMITTEES
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SEQTION 1. Section 2.04.220 of Chapter 2.04 of the Palo
Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as fellows:
2.04.220 St~uding committee meetings.
(a) Regular meetings. Each standing committee shall meet
on its designated meeting night(s) at seven p.m. at the city hall.
The policy and services committee shall meet on the second T'o.1esday
of each month and the finance com:nittee shall meet on the first and
th:i.rd Tuesday of each month. When additional meetings are
necessary, the chairperson of each committee n~y call a special
meeting as provided in subsection (b) of this section.
(b) Special meetings. Special meetings of standing
committees may be called by the chairperson with the consent of a
majority of the committee's members, hut a special meeting so
called shall b~ held at city hall, or other locations if
appropriate, and forty-eight hours' notice must be given to every
council member.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that there is no possibility
that the provisions of this ordinance will cause a significant
effect on the enviro~~ent, and upon that basis finds the project
exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality
Act.
