Z406 .. -CRDINAN_CE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO APPROVING . .THE ANNEXATION OI<' CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRI1'0R'l DESlGNATED AS "TOWER MOTEL ANNEXATION 1-6 7 11 TO THE CITY OF PALO ALTO The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows: WHEREAS~ on the 8th day of January, 1968, the Council of the City of Palo Alto did pass and ad6pt Resolution No. 4058 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to th~ City of Palo Alto, said territory being thereiri.dcsignated as "Tower Motel Annexaticn 1-67 11 , said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 4058 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the -council of the City of Palo Alto would hear protests made by any person o~~ing real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of sa'id hearing bei:lg no!:. _less than forty nor more than sixty. days from the date of passage of said Resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 26th day of February, 1968, at the hour of :' j' 7:30 p.m. in_ the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Pale Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said. Resolution No. 4058 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the pro- ·-posed annexation and did· determine that protests had not been made by public and private ow--ners of one-half of .the value of the . :_ -~ territory proposed tobe·annexed; and · .. WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Palo Al to, and is uninhabited territory in the Courlty. oi:! 'Santa. Clara. NOW, THEREFORE, the sa·id Council of the City of Pale.( Alto does hereby approve the annexation of the terrfto:tf hereinafter described to the City -of Palo Alto;-aI:ct does hereby further ordain that the said territory.be and is hereby annexed to the City of --1 .,; P~1lo Alto. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Palo Afto is herein approved, is all that territory situate 1n the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more paxticula~ly . - described on EXHIBIT A attached hereto and made a part hereof and delineated on the map attached hereto marked EXHIBIT B and made a p:irt hereof. As provided i.n Section 2.04.375 cf the Palo Alto Municipal Code, this ordinance shall become effectjve upon adoption.
