AMENDING SECTION.16.20, SUBSECTION (B), OF THE
PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE,LIMITING·THE HEIGHT OF
ROOF SIGNS
The Council of the City or' Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SECTION 1. Sect.ioq 16. 20 .180, subsection (b), of the
Palo Alto.Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) Hei~ht. Any roof sign which' is set back
at least eig t feet from the edge of the roof or
fi.rewall shall have a maximum height of· fifteen
feet above· tbe firewall or highest portion of .the
·roof. Arty sign not so set hack shall have a maximum
height of four fe~t above the firewall or highest
.. portion of the roof. No roof sign shall be higher
than.the maximum building height permitted in the
zone in which such sign is located. Structu~es
permitted under Section 18.88.080 of this code shall
not be counted in measuring the maximum allowable
building height. 11 ·
SECTlff.~ 2. This ordinance shalt become effective upo~
the expiration. of 30 days from its passage.
