ORDINANCE NO. 4450
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING SECTION 18.08.040 OF THE PALO ALTO
MUNICIPAL CODE (THE ZONING MAP) TO CHANGE THE
CLASSIFICATION OF A PORTION OF PROPERTY
COLLECTIVELY KNOWN AS "CHARLESTON MEADOWS TRACT
840" FROM R-1 TO R -1(S)
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SECTION 1.
A. The Planning Commission, after duly noticed public
hearing held August 27, 1997, has recommended that section
18.08.040 [the Zoning Map] of the Palo Alto Municipal Code be
amended as hereinafter set forth; and
B. The City Council, after due consideration of the
recommendation, finds that the proposed amendment is in the public
interest and will promote the public health, safety and welfare.
SECTION 2. Section 18.08.040 of the Palo :1to Municipal
Code, the "Zoning Map," is hereby amended by changing the zoning of
a portion of certain property, collectively known as "Charleston
Meadows Tract 840" (the "subject property"), from "R-1 Single-
family Residence" to "R -1(S) Single-family Residence, Single -Story
Height Combining." The subject property is shown on the map
labeled Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this project will not
have a significant environmental effect.

thirty-first day after the date of its adoption.
