The Council of the City or Palo Al to does o·Niain as follows: Section l. Sec. 7. 07 of Codified Ol'd 1nance No. 5 hereby is amended to read as follows: Sec • 7. 07 C0~1)1JCT OF MINORS IN STHE&'l'S AND PUBLIC PLACE.S • a. MINORS I N PUBLIC PLACES. :~t shall be unlawful for any minor person under the age of eightuen (18) years to loiter upon . or about the public streets, avenueii, alleys, -i>arks, squ.ares or any public place between the hours of 10 0 1cnock P.M. and the time of sunrise of the following morning, when not a.ccom­ pan1ed by his parent or legal guard:.an having the care and c~lstody thereof, except where the p1•esenc:e of such minor 1n said place or places i s connected wUh and requi red by some legitimate busin..,ss, trade, profess tc·n or occupation in which he is engaged. b. LIABILITY OF PARENTS OR GUJU:l>IAN. It shall be unlaw­ ful for the parent, guardian or othE:J· person having the legal care, custody or control or any ~::c•n under the age of eighteen (18) years to allow or permit such ;•e·rson to violate any provision of t his ordinance. c. AIDINO OR ABETTING MINOR TC1 VIOLATE OJU)INANCE. It shall be unlawful for any person to assist, aid, abet .or encourage any minor under the age of eighteen (18; years to violate any pro­ vision of this ordinance. d. REPORT BY C'1'NERS OF HOTELS. Each owner, agent, manager or keeper or & hotel, boa.rd1ng house ,. lodging house, tenement house, motor court, or apartment ho1:.11e shall immediately report to the offi oe of the Chief of PolicE· of the City of P11.lo Al to the presence therein, between the . hc·urs of ten 0 1 clock P.M. and sunrise immediately following, or· ar.~r and all minors under the age of eighteen (18) years, unless s uch minor or minors 18 or are accompanied by the parent, guard::an, or other person having the care and custody of such minor c-i.• minors, and in making such report shall stata to said Chief's c·l~fice the name, age, laet-lmown place of abode, and the name and ree:tdences of the parents,· guardian , or other custodian of suet.. minor or minors, so far as such information can be ascertained :~rom said mi nor or minors or otherwise. · · e . PENALTY. The City Council of t he City of Palo Alt~ hereby declares tha·; it would have passed t his ordinance, and ea<:h section, subsectit>n , clause, sentence, and phrase thereof, irrespective of the f ?1ct that any one or m•)re sectione, subeectl.ons, sentences, cla11ses or phrases mig:'lt be ·dee la red uncons t1t:ut1ona l.
