AMBNDING ORDINANCE NO. 1278, BEING CODIFIED ORDINANCE
~O. 5, SBCTION.18.22, DOG LICENSE FE&S.AND .PEN.<IES.
The Council or the City of Palo Alto DOBS ORDAIN as follows:
Section l. That Section 18.22 0£ Ordinance No. 1278,
being COdified ~inance_No. 5 or the City of Palo Alto, 1e
hereby a~ended to r:ead ae follows:
Section 18.22. License .Fees.
Application for a dog license shall be made to the
Commercial orr1cer, who shall issue said license uPOn
application .therefor and the payment or the required ree. :&lch license ah.all be issued 1n the name of t he
owner or person having cuatody or such d~g and shall
not be transferable. The annual fee for each license
shall '!:le $3.00.

An additional fee of $1.00 s hall be paid if applica
tion.is made af ter October first or more than t hir t y (30) days after:
~a~ ·Change of ownership; b The dog reaches the age ~r three (3) months;
c Applicant has establishei residence.within
the City.
Any person who rails to comply ••1th the provisions
or this Section within ten days after aerv:Lce upon him of a
written notice that dog license fees are d11e, shall pay a ;>ima lty
of $2.JO 1n addition to t he payment or t he license fees required.
The above and foregoing ordinan1:e was duly and regu::.arly
introduced at a regular meeting of t he Cou:11cil held on Monday, the 8th day or June, 1953, and was t hereafl:er on Monday, the 22nd
day of June, 1953, duly and regularly adopl;ed by the .following vote:
