AMENDING THE BUDG~T FOR THC FISCAL YEAR 1960-81 TO
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJE:C'r NO, 80-32 "SAHAH WALLIS PARK IMPROVEMENTS"
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 23,
1980~ did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1980-81~ and
WH ER~~AS r Capital Improvement Project No. 8 0-32 lHrn been es tab-
1 i shed for "Sarah Wallis Park Improvements" with funding provided by
the 1974 State Park Bond Act~ 8nd
WHEREAS, since obtaining State Park Bond funding project costs
have increased and funds currently appropriated for this project are
insufficient to cover construction costs~ and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to proceed with development of
Sarah Wallis Park~
NOW, 't'HEREf'OREg the Ccunci.l of the City of Palo l\lto does ORDAIN
aE; l:ollows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($11, .. ~nTii-)-:i.s appropriated to Capital Improvement Project No. 80-32
"Sarah ~val.lis Par·k Improvement.s" and the Reserve for General
Operating Contingency is correspondingly ch:? creased.
SECTION 2. An environmental assessment was previously conducted
and Counc1.l fo\md this project not to have ~ significant en\i'ir.on
mentaJ. impact.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as
p't:ov ided Tn Sect ion 1 2 of Article I I I of tbe Charter and Sect ion
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
