ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81 TO
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING ~'OR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT 75-77 "REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT
ADVANCED w.a.s·rEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY" AND ·ro
PROVIDE FOR RECEIPT OF REVENUE FROM THE STATE WATER
RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 23,
1980, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1980-811 and
WHEREASr Capital Improvement Project 75-77 has been establisi:ed
for "Regional Water Quality Control Plant -Advanced wastewater
Treatment Facility"; and
WHEREAS, this project was fo~ the construction of th~ facility
nnd did not include funds for startup and training services; and
WHEREAS, the s tar:t.up and training services are es sent i a 1 to the
effective operation of the facility and the State Water Resources
Control Board has recognized thi$ need and have agreed to fund a por
t ion of these services;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Eighty-five Thousand Two Hundred Sixty
six Dollars($85,266} is appi·opriated to Capital Improvement Project
15-77 "Regional Water Quality Control Plant -Advanced Wastewater
Treatment Facility",eetimated revenue is increased by Fifty-th~ee
Thous~nd Doll~r~ ($53y000) to reflect receipt of revenue from the
State Water Resources Control Board~ and the Res8rve for Systems Im
provement of the Sewer Utility Fund is decreased by Thirty-two Thou
Rand Two Hundred Sixty-six Dollars ($32,266).
SECTION 2. The environmental impact assessment which was pre
viously performed will not be affected by this change.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effectively as provided
in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of
the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
