ORDINANCE 01" 'l'HE COUNCIL OF THE -cf"fy OF PALO AL'rO
AMENDING THE E-UDGET ~'OR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81 TO
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 79-55 "ALMA STREET RECONSTRUCTION" AND
TO DEFER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 79-60
~ALMA/CHURCHILL INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS"
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Sect ion 12 of Article I 11
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on ,June 23, 19801
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1980-81r and
WHEREASt Capital Improvement Project No. 79-·55 has been estab
lished for "Alma Street ReconstructionH and Capital Improvement Pro
ject No. 79-60 has been established for "Alma/Churchill Intersection
Impr.ovements"1 and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes c.o contract with Raisch
Construction Company for street improvements; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are not available in this project to
perform the desired improvementsf
NOW, 'l'IU:REFORB, the CounciJ. of the City of Palo Al to does ORDA!t\
as follows~
SECTION 1. The sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($150,000):i.s appropr.iatec: '.:~ Cap.i.t;;.l Improvement Project No. 79-55
,; A\ma Street Reconstruction" and the <.i.ppropriat ion for Capital Im
pri:)vement Project No. 79-60 "Alma/Churchill Intersection Impr.01,1ements"
is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. An environmental a~sessment has been conducted and
the Council finds that this project wil.l not have a significant envi
ronment?! impact.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as
provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
