ORDlNANCE OF '.I'HE COUNCIL OF 1rHE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING ~r.HE BUDGET FOR 'l'HE F'ISCAL YEAR 1979-80 TO
PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CAPITAL I.MPROVEMEN'I' PRO.JECT NO.
78-39 "BAYLANDS BICYCLE PA'l'H 11
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 18, 1979,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1979-80; and
WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Project No. 78-39 has been established
for "Bayla.nds Bicycle Path 11 with funding to be provided by tbe State
Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHERE.AS, the City dm::;ires to contract for the services of a. soils
and structural engineer to perforin prelimirary investigations, which
cost would ue covered by the State grant funding; and
WHEREAS, the City is not yet in receipt of State grant funding £or
this projE~ct;
NOW r THEH.EFOTU~ f the Counc.i l of the City of Palo Al to does ORDAIN
as follows:
SI:C'J'ION 1. '.l'he sum of 'l,wenty 'l'housand Dollars ($20 ,000) is
approi:n.~Ta.ted· to Cap.ital Improvement Project No. 78-39 "Baylands Bicycle
Path'' an~ the Reserve for General Operating ContingePcy is correspondingly
decreased.
SECTION 2. The environmental impact report ~iich was previously
perfoi·med wil.1. not be affected by this change.
SECTION 3. This ordinance sha.11 become effective immediately as
provi~ed in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375
of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
