ORDINANCE NO. 3210
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PLAN FOR THE ERECTION OF
A SCULPTURE AT SAND POINT IN BYXBEE PARK
WHEREAS, Article VIII of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto and
Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code require that before
any substar1tial building, construction; reconstruction or development
is commenced or approved upon or with respect to any land held by the
City for park 9urposes, the Council shall first cause to be prepared
and by ordinnnce approve a·.id adopt a plan the ref or; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did by Ordinance No. 2252, adopted in
1965, pl.ace Byxbee Park on the list of lands used or intended to be
used for park purposes; and
WHERE,l'\.S, the Co1.:ncil desires to allow a sculpture to be erected
in Byxbee Park, pursuant to design and specifications a.pproved by the
Ccuncil on July 23, 1979 and as set forth on Exh.ioit 11 A.11 actached
hereto.
NOW, THEREPORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto d0eS ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The document attached hereto as Exhibit 11A 11 hereby is
approve~3:nd adopted as additional park improvements pursuant to
Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. The Coun~il finds that the adoption of ~his ordinance
will have no significant adverse environmental impact.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the
commencement of the thirty-first day following the date of its p~ssage.
