0RDINANCE OF 'l'HE COUNCIL OF 'I'HE CITY OF PAI.0 ALTO
AMENDING PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS 2.04.240(a),
2.04.250, AND 2.04 • .260 REGARDING THE DU'rIES AND
MEETING DA'IES OF THE PI.NANCE AND PUBLIC WORKS
COMMITTEE AND THE POLICY AND PHOCEDUFES COMMITTEE
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2.04.240(a) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
a(a) Re.9Elar Meetin3s. Each committee shnll meet once per
month on their designated meeting night at seven-thirty p.m.
at the city hall. The policy and procedures committee shall
meet on the first 'ruesday of each month and the finance and
public works committee shall meet on the second Tuesday of
each month. When additional meetings are necessary, the
chai 1:"man of each com.mi ttee may call a special mee<::.ing as
p1·ovided in this code."
SECTION 2. Section 2.04.~so 0£ the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as fellows:
"2.04.250 Con:unittee on f.i.nance and.E~lic ~ork~.· It shall
be !:"he duty of the com.mi ttce on f ina.ncc c:.md public works to
consic.\e.!" and m<lke recommendations on matters referred Lo it
.by the council relating to public works, utilities, financep
budget, appropriations, audits, capit~l improvement fund,
assessment distr1~ts 1 and general obligation bond issues."
SECTION 3. Section 2.:.14.260 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code .is
hereby amended.to read as follow~~
"2.04.260 Committee on policy and procedures. It shall be
tne duty of the ..:ornmi ttee 01• policy and procedures to con
sider and make recommendat.ions on matters referred to it by
the council relating to parliamentary and administrative
procedures, planning and zoningr traffic and parking,
:iirttergovernme-n+:al relations, parks, libraries, recreational
facilities, and all human services."
SECTION 4. The Cc· .. mcil finds that the prov is ions of this o··:c.linance
are not a project. and, therefore, no environmental impact assessment i.s
necessary.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall become effective upon the commence·,
ment of the thirty-first day following the date of its passage.
