HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 3195• ' ORIGINAL 0RDII~Ali1CE NO, 3195 ORDINP.NCE OF THE COJJNCJL OF THE CITY OF Pl\LO ALTO ~ffiNDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YLAR 1979~80 TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR CAPITAL I.HPROVEHENT PROJECT 78-35, "CALIFORNIA AVENUE BEJIJ..JTIFICATION PROJECT" NHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo ~lto, the Council on June 18, 1979, did adopt a budget for fisc~l year 1979-80; and ~vHEREAS, the City Counc.:il did create by R.esolution No. 5372, mociified by Resolution No. 5641, the California Avenue Areas Capital Outlay Fund, said Fund was to provide for the acquisition, construction, maintenance of traffic and ~3rking improvements and street facilities and furniture ~·lithin the Dist;:ict consistent \·i.ith the City's Compre-­ hensive Plan; and ~'IFIEREt.~s, the City of Po.lo "\1 t0 \·;ishes to provide funds for the construction of a brick wall, bench, kiosks and a California Avenue Busine~_:s Dist:rict sign on California .!\venue near its junct.ion with E~ Camino i{ea.l; NO~v, THEREFORE, the Cc~ncil of tho City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follmvs: SECTION 1. Th8 su~ of Forty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($48,500) J.~ api)ropriated to Capit.:d ImprovemeDt Program 78-35, "Cali.-. fornia AvenuP Baautification Project,11 Jnd the California Avenue Areas Capital Outlay Fund is correspon~ingly decreAsed. SECTION 2. An environmental impact assessment has been per­ formed and the Council finds that this project will have no significant adverse environmental impact. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become .::ffective inunediately as provided ui Section 12 of Article: III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
