ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
/I..PPROVING AND ADOPTING A PLAN FOR THE CONSTRUCrl'ION
OF NEW BRIDGE UECKING AND INSTALL.l\TION OF TWO
BENCHES ALONG EXISTING BIKE PATll IN BOL PARK
WHEREAS, Article VIII of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto
and Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code require that
before any substantial building, construction, reconstruction, or
development is commenced or approved upon or with respect to any
land held by the City for park purposes, the Counci~ shall first
cause to be prepared and by ordinance approve and adopt a plan
therefor; and
hf!IEREAS, the City Council Jid by Ordinance No. 2986, adopted
in 1977, place Bol Park on the list of landc used or in~Pnded to
b~ used for park purposes; and
h'HEREAS, the Council desires to add new bridge decking to the
existing bridge and install two benches &long the bike path south
of the bridge;
HO\ol, THEREFORE, the Counc:i.l of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The document attached hereto, marked EXHIBIT "A"
hereby is approved .and adopted as additional park improvements
pursuant to Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. The project was reviewed for environmental impact
previously and no f:urthhr environmental assessment is required.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effectiVe upon the
connnencement of the thirty-first day after the day of its passage,
