ORDINANCE NO. 3186
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1979-80 TO
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE RESOURCE RECOVERY
STUDY CONTAINED IN THE SOLID \'lASTE MANAGEMENT PROGRN-1
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June
18, 1979, 'did adopt a budget for f:,-:;cal year 1979-80; and
vffiBREAS, the City of Palo Alto is currently ~ornmitted to a
Joint Powers Agreement for solid waste management in North Santa
Clara County; and
WIIEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto wishes to provide

ORDAIN as :allows:
SECTIOK 1. The sum of Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty
Dollars ($9 ,880) is appropriated to the Refuse Operating Budget
and the Reserve for Systems Improvement of the Refuse Utility
Fun~ is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The Cour,cil finds tha\.: this is not a project for
purposes of thf; California Environmental Quality Act and no environ
mental assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinanc~ shall become effective immediately
as prov~ded 1n Section 12 of Article II I of the Char'.::er: and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
