ORDINANCE NO. 3177
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL l~ 1979-80 TO
PROVIDE FUNDS FOR FENCING AT THE PALO ALTO FLOOD
BASIN
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June
18, 1979, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1979-80; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to protect and maintain the
marshland and wildlife in the Palo Altc ... flood basin; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires ~o construct a fence at the front
of the P~ln Alto flood basin area so as to limit acc~ss to foot
traffic o~ly;
NOH, THEREFORE, the Council of ::he City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Fourteen Th~usand Dollars ($lt~,ooo) is
appropriateato the Resource Management Subprogram of the Parks
and Open Space Division of the Department of Public Works and the
General Ccnti~gent Reserve is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. An environmental impact assessment has been made
and the (Jo· 1cil find~ that this pruj ~et. wlll have:: no significant
environmeth.al impact.
SECTION 3. This ordinan.ce shall become effective immediately
as provided in Section 12 of A~ticle III of the Charter of the City
of Palo Alto and Section 2.04.375 of the F ·.lo Alto Municipal Code.
