ORDINANCE NO. -3774
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO AlTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1987-88 TO PROVIDE
AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 87-28,
"MIDTO~N TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS".
WtiEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the
Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 22, 1987 did adopt a budget
for fiscal year 1987-88; and
WHEREAS, at its September 1, 1987 meeting, the Policy and Procedures
Corm1ittee of the Palo Alto City Council heard staff recontnendations, ma.de
addi tiona 1 recommendations, and directed staff to formulate plans to reduce
traffic impacts in the Midtown area; and
WHEREAS, staff is now recoiiiTiending several traffic improvements for the
M i d town a rea .
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as
follows:
SECTION -1. Cap1 ta 1 Improvement Project No. 81-28 i-:; ~r~·oy estabH shed for
"Midtown Traffic Improvementsq.
SECTION 2. The sum of Forty-T"ro Thousand Dollars ($42,000} 1s ar>propriated
to Capital Improvement Project No. 87-28, and the reserve for capital Projects fs
correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 3. The Council finds th&t this is not a project for purposes of the
Californfa Environmentul Quality Act ~nd, therefore., no environ.ental ia~pact assessment is necessary. ·
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective i..ediately as provided 1n
Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Co~e.
