ORDINANCE NO. 3772
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1987-88 TO PROVIDE
AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR A DOWNTOWN URBAN DESIGN PLAN
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the
Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 22, 1987 did adopt a budget
for fiscal year 1987-88; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved funding of $5,000 for the 1986-87 budget
for a Downtown Urban Design Plan; and
WHEREAS, staff believes an additional $22,500 is necessary to produce a
comprehensive document of policies and guidelines describing the desired physical
form of Do~ntown Palo Alto.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Twenty-Two Thousand Five Hund~ed Dollars ($22,500) is
appropriated to Professional Services of the Special Studies Program of the
Planninq Division, and the Reserve for Capital Projects is correspondingly
decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project for purposes of the
Californ1a Environmental Quality Act and, therefore, no environmental impact
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as provided in
Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code.
