AH APPROP~IATlOH FOR CAPITAL I~PR0VEMENT PROJECT NO. 87-26,
"SCHOOL LEAS£ AC~UlSITIONw
~HEKEAS, pursuant to the prov1sions of Section 12 of Article III of the
Cnarter of th~ City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 22, 1987 did adopt a budget
for fi sea 1 year l:B7-88; and
i'IH£~£A5, the C1ty of Palo Alto and the Palo .~1to Unified School District
negotiated a lease and covenant not to develop certain school sites; and
wHeREAS, pursuant to said proposed lease; and
~H£K£AS, the City ~ishes to obtain certain condition inspections of
ou11~ings, groundsJ sidewal~s. and parking areas at the Jordan and Jane Lathrop
Stanford school s1tes.
NOW, TH£K£f0K£, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as
fo1lows:
· SECTION 1. capital lllf)rovement Projecr. Mo. 87-26 is hereby established for
•scnool Lease Acquisition•.
SECTION 2. The s..-of Flfty Thousand Uollars ($50,000) is appropriated to
cap1 tal htprove~aent Project 87-26, and the reserve for capita 1 Projects is
correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 3.. The Council finds that this is n·ot a project for purposes of the
California Environ~~ental Quality Act and, theref•are, no environmental impact
dssess.ent is necessary.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as provided in
Section l2 of Article HI of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code.
