ADDING A NEW SECTION TO CHAPTER 2.40 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE, WHICH WOULD REUUIRE THE PRINTING IN THE SAMPLE
BALLOT OF THE FULL TEXT OF ORDINANCES OR MEASUR~S TO
BE VOTED ON BY THE ELECTORS
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 2.40 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is
hereby amendeJ by adding a new section to be numbered and to read
as follows:
"2.40.035 Printing r,ull Text of Pt'oposed Ordinance or
Measure in the Sample Ballot. Whenever any ordinance
or measure is to be submitted to the electors at any
municipal election, the city clerk shall cause the full
text of the ordinance or m~asure to be printed in the
sample ballot."
