ORDINANCE Of TH£ COUNCIL Of TtiE CITY OF PALO ,~LTO
MEMOlNG TliE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 19.86-87 TO. PROVIDE
AN APPROPRIATION FOR f~PITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 86-42
wGENG AND EMBARCADERO ROAD IMPROVEMENTS"
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the
Charter of the City of Palo Alto~ the Council on June 23, 1986 did adopt a budget
for fiscal year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, the voters of Palo Alto approved in November, 1985 a land exchange
of the City~s pro~rt:t at Embarcadero and Geng Roads with Pine & Company's
property on 3005 and 3009 Middlefield Road; and
WHEREAS. City staff rnve oogotiawd with Pine & Company to make various
baprol'~nts to the City's property at Geng Road in order for the land exchange
to proceed.
NOW, THEREFORE, ~~ Council of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. capital Improvement Project No. 86-42 is hereby established for.
•&eng and Eibircadero Road.•
S£CTIGN 2. The s.-of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars .($150,000) is
appropriatid to tM Clpital !Mprovettent Project No. 86-42. The Reserve for
tapi tal Projects fs reduced by ORe Hundred Twenty-Five rhousand Dollars
($125.000) am ~ ~s ·, Ftmd Syste• I.aprovement Reserv.e is· reduced by Twenty-Five
T'*'sanct Dollars. ($25.COO).

SECTION 3. The CouncH finds that this is not a project for purposes of the Cllifornta.Tnviron~~ental Quality Act and, therefore, no environmental impact
&$ses•nt is neeessary. · ,.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall became effectiv~ 'nmediately as provided 1n
Section 12 of Article I II of the Charter and Section 2 ,.04 .. 375 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code.·
