ORDIMAMCE NO. 3732
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL Of THE CITY Of PALO Al. TO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1986-87 TO
ESTA8LISH AND PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE LIBRARY
DIVISION AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE RECEIPT OF PUBLIC LIBRARY FUNDS FROM THE
PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION AHO THE STATE liBRARY

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Artitle Ill of the
Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 23, 1986 did adopt a budget
for fiscal year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto h.as established a library
computer system within the library Division; and
WHEREAS, the security of library facilities is in need of i~rove.ents at
three libraries; and
WHEREAS, the Public Library Foundation has distributed funding through the
S t;1 te L1 bra ry to be used by the 1 oca 1 jurisdi c t1 on for any purpose except bufl d
ing construction.
NOW. THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Pal~ Alto does ordain as fol
lows:
SECTION 1. The SUJII of Forty-Seven Thousand Seven Hundred and Nine Oo11ars
( $47.,709) 1 s appropriated to Equ1paent Purchases in the l tbrary otvtsion Pub He
Services Program and estfllilted revenue is correspoftdfngly increased to reflect
receipt of library funds fro. the Public lfbrtrY Foundation.
SECTION 2. The Counc.n finds that this is ..Ot a proJeCt for purposes of Ute
California· Environ•nta1 Quality Act and,. therefore. no environental i~~pact
·assessment 1s· necessary~
SECTION 3.. This ordinanc~ shall becOe effective f-.ectfately as provided i"

Municipal Code.
