ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ,6;LTO
AMENDING THE BUDG.ET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1986-87 TO PROVIDE
AM APPROPRIATION FOR A FUEL EFFICIENT TRAFFIC SIGNAL MANAGEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article I II of the
Charter of the c; ty of Pa 1 o A 1 to, the Co unci 1 on June 23, 1986 did adopt a budget
for fiscal year 1986-87~ and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto authorized on September 22,
1986 that City staff apply to the State of california Department of
Transporta tf on for a Fuel Efficient Tra. ffi c Signa 1 Management Grant; and
WHEREAS, the State has formally notified City stu1"t that it has awarded
Forty-Eight Thousand Dollars ($48,000) to the City of Palo Alto for the grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Forty .. E1ght Thousand Dollars ($48-000) is
appropriated to Professional Services in the Traffic Signals Program of the
Electric Fund, and the grant revenue for the Electric Fund iS correspondingly
increased to reflect receipt of the State grant.
SECTION 2.. The Council finds that this is not a project for purposes of the ··
· CaJffornia Environmental Quality Act and, therefor<~. Ho environmenta·l impact
assessment h necessary •. ·
SECTION 3. This ordinance .shall J)ecor~e effective. immediately as provided in
Sectlon 12 of"Artic.le III of the· Charter. and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Muni ci pa 1 Code. · · ·
