OROINANCE Of THE COUNCil OF THE CITY Of PALO ALTO
AHENDI~G THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1986-87 TO PROVIDE
FOR AN AOOITIOMAl IJ'PROPRIATIOM FOR THE CABLE C{JIMUNICATIONS PROGRAM AND TO
PROVIDE FOR RECEIPT OF REVENUE FROM PACIFIC BELL
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the
Charter of the City of ?alo Alto, the Council on ,June 23, 1986 did adopt a budget
for fisca1 year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, the City of ?a.lo A1 to has been requested by the members of the
Joint Exercise of Powers Agreelltetit to inspect the undergr()und and ,:)verhead
installation of cable; and
WHEREAS, tne City of Palo Alto has contracted for funding from Pacific Bell
and Cable CODAunicat;ons Cooperative to perform such inspection pursuant to a
franchise;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The su. of One Hundred and Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars
($155.000) is appropriated fr'o. the reserve for capital IMproveMents to the
Professional Services of the Cable Ca.aunfcations Program of the Information
Resources Oepartaent and the estimted revenue is correspondingly increased to
reflect the receipt <,f revenue froa Pacific Bell and Cable Co.unications
Cooperative. ·
SECTIOM 2. Tne Council finds that this project is categorically exempt for '
purposes of the ca H fornia Envf ron.enta 1 Quality Act and, therefore. no
enviromaental .i~~pact a.ssess.ent is necessary.
SECTION 3.. This ordinance shall beca.e effective iaaediately as provided in
Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto
Municipa 1 Code.
