ORDINANCE NO. 3717
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1986-87 TO PROVIDE
AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 86-61
11 RENTAL HOUS.ING ACQUISITION PROGRAM" AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE RECEIPT OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GRANT FUNDS FROM THE UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF ~DUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the
Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 23, 1986 did adopt a budget
for fiscal year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, Capital Improvement Project No. 86~61 has been established for the
Rental Housing Acquisition Program {RHAP); and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development entitlement has
been increased~ therefore, ti1e original 1986-87 Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) has also been increased by Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000) to the City
of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, the COBG Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) has reconrnended that all
of the Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000) in additional funds be appropriated to
the RHAP;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The s•.tm of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000) is appropriated to
the Capi til Improvement Project No. 86-61 "Rental Housing Acquisition Program"
and estimated revenue f s correspondingly increased to reflect receipt of
additional funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project for purposes of the ·
California f.nvironmental Quality,Act and, therefore, no environmental impact
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall beco.me effective ft~Ttediately as provided in
Section 12 GrArtfcle III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto M~nici~i~ Code. ·
