ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO AlTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1986-87 TO PROVIDE
AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF POWER TRANSFOitMERS
·.. WHEREAS~ pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article I II of the
Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 23 10 1986, did adopt a
budget for fiscal year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, new power transformers at the Quarry Road Power Station are
required to serve additional load not p1annec in the budget; and
WHEREAS. funds for this equipment are provided for· in thE Reserve for Syste~
Improvements in the El ec tri c Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SECTION 1. The sum cf Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000} is
appropriated to the Ac·~uisition and Construction Progra~ of the Electric fund for
Utili ties System Purchases, and the Reserve for System Improvements in the
Electric Fund is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project for purposes of the
California Environmental Quality Act, and~ therefore, no environ.ental impact
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall becoee effective i..aediately as provided in
Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code. ·
