ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1986-87 TO PROVIDE
AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE LOAD MANAGEMENT PROGRAM OF THE ELECTRIC
UTILITY AND TO PROVIDE FOR RECEIPT OF REVENUE

WHEREAS. pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the·
Cllarter of the City of Palo Alto. the Council on June 23, 1986, did adopt a
budget for fi sea 1 year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pal.o Alto has establish·~d a Load Management Program
~ithin the Electric Utility; and
WHEREAS~ the City of Palo Alto has been awarded funding from the American
P~blic Power Association for "Real-Time Monitoring of Large Commercial-Industrial
Customer Demand Pi 1ot Project~~;
NOW~ THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SECTION 1. Tne sum of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred dollars ($12,500) is
appropriated to the Load Management Program of the E'l ectri c Utility and estimated
revenue is correspondingly increased to reflect the receipt of revenue ftom the
American P11blic Power Association.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this project is categorically exempt for
purposes of the california Environmental Quality Act and, therefore, no
environmental impact assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effectfve immediately as provided in
Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code.
