AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAl YEAR 1986 .. 87 TO PROVIDE
AM APPROPRIATION FOR A VEHICLE OCCUPANT PROlECTirJf PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Se<:tion 12 of Article. III of the
Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council Otl June 23, 1986 did adopt a budget
for fiscal year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, THE California State Office of Traffic Safety has offered a grdnt
to the City of Palo Alto to imp1e~nt a vehic1e occupant protection project; and
WHEREAS, tr~ grant would be beneficial to City residents to lessen injuries
and fatalit1es from traffic ~cidents;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Counci 1 of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as
fo11 ows:
SECTION 1. The s~ of thirty one thousand seven hundred seventy two do!lars
{$31,772) is appropriated to the C~unity Crime Prevention Progr~ of the Police
Div~sion as follo~s:
$16,577 to E~loyee Services
1,170 to Professional services
1,200 to Equipaent
835. to General Expense
11~990 to Materi41s
The reserve for Capit•l Projects is correspondingly .decteased •
. SECTION 2. .The Council finds that this is not a 'project under the .
Cal iforni~ Environ~~ental Quality Act and, therefore, no envirorc~~ental fapact ·
assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall becOMe effective 1-ediately as provided in
Sect ion 12 of Article II I of the Charter and Sect i<HI 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code.
