AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAl YEAR 1986-87 TO PROVIDE
AN APPROPRIATION FOR PAlO AlTO PARTICIPATIOft IN THE &olDEN iRIAHGlE TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the
Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 23, 1986 did adopt a budget for ffscal year 1986-87; and
WHEREAS, a Golden Triangle Task Force has been fonwed to develop strategic
plans relative to land use, housing, transportation and capital improvements within Santa Clara County; and
WHEREAS,. the City of Palo Alto wishes to participate as a member of the Golden Triangle Task Force;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ordain as fo1l ows ~
SECTION 1. The sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000} is appropriated to
Professional "Services in the Transportation Planning Progr-am of the
Transportation Division and the Reserve fer Cap1tal Projects is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. Council finds that this is not a project for purposes of the
Californ1a Environmental Quality Act and therefore no environmental assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall beco.e effective i..ediately as provided in
Section 12 or Article III of the Charter and Section ~.04.375 of the Palo Alto Munid~al Code.
