ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF TH£ CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE F.ISCAL YEAR 1985:..86 TO
PROVIDE 1\N ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE HOUSE-
H.OLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL PROGRAM

WHEREAS, pursuant to the pro\.• is ions of Section 12 of Article • Ili >, ..
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 24, 1985,
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1985-86; and ,
WHEREAS, the City has established a program for the pickup and
disposal of household hazardous wastes and
WHEREAS, program participation has exceeded projections and
additional funding is required to continue the program:
NOW, •rHEREPORE, the Council of the r: i.cy 0f l:Jalo Alto does ORDAIN
as fvllo'frs:
SECTim~ 1. The sum ci Twenty-eight Thousand Dollars ($28,000) is
appropriated to Professional services in the Administration and General
Program of the Ref~:.~~ F~!!d and the Reserve for System Improvements in
the Refuse Fund is correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The environmental impact assessment previously
performed will not be affected by this change.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as
provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
