ORDINANCB OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF t'ALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1985-86 TO
PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION TO LEAS.E THE
JORDAN AND GARLAND ·SCHOOL S r•rt.S
WHEREAS, pursL,ant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article .·Ill:'.,
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on Jun~ 24, 1985,·
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1985-86; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to City residents to have addi
tional park acreage; and
WHER~AS, the City Council n~s negotiated with the Palo Alto School
Distr ir.t Board of Education re .'ard ing leasing the vacant Jordan and
Garland School sites; and
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Unified School District Board of Education
approved leases on February 18, 1986;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follm~s:
SECTION 1.. The sum of Sixty-two Tho'-lsand Seven Hundred Fifty-
three and 60/100 Dollars ($62,753.60) is appropriated to the Parks Open
Space Management Division, Administration and General Program for
general expense and the Reserve for Capital Projects is correspondingly
decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project under the
Ca,l i fornia Envico,.-,~l•ental Quality Act and 1 therefore, no environmental.
impact assessment is necessary8
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as
provided in Section 12 of Article· III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
