ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL O.F THECI•ry OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING SECTION 1 2. 16.0 20 OF CHAPTER. 1 2 • 16 OF
TITLE 12 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE BY ESTAB-
LISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 29
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
-1·. --WHEREAS, the Council did, on September 10, 1985, addpt its Resolu;;..
tion No. 6432 of Intention to Amend Section 12.16.020 of Chapter 12.16
of Title 12 of the Palo Alto Municip3l Code by Establishing Underground
Utility District No. 29 in said City and by said Resolution appointed
Konday, the 7th day of April, 1986, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. in
the Council Chambers, City Hall, 250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, Calif
ornia, as the time and place of hearing protests and receiving evidence
for ~nd against said proposed action and directing notice; and
WHEREAS, notice was given of the time and place therein stated in
the manner provided by law as appears from the affidavits on file in
the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at the time
therein fixed~ and
W""rlEREAS 1 all written protests and other written communications
were publicly re"-d at said meeting and evidence duly taken and all
persons desiring to be heard were fully heard;
NOW, 'l'BERE!"'ORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED as follows:
S~CTION 1. The public necessity, health, and safety require th~

from that certain area described in said'Resolution No. 6432. ·
SECTION 2. SE!'Ct ion 12. 16.0 20 .of Chapter 12 .16 of Title 12 of the
Palo Alto Mun1cipal CoJe is ~ended by adding Subsection (29) thereto;.
said S!.lbsection (29) to read a~ _followc:
"(29) District. No 29. All lands within the
City of Palo Alto bounded by Cowp~r Stre.et, Hamil
ton Avenue, Bryant Street, and Lytton Avenue, plus
one· block bouuded by Tasso Street, University ~ve
nue, Cowper Street, and I,ytton Avenue; removal
ninet}' ('90). days after -comp1etion and acceptance of
the work." -·
SECTION 3. The· "Underground Qtility District Map" referred to in
said Sect1on 12.16.020 shall be a~ended to add' the areas shown on the
1nap referred to in said Resolution No. 6432.,-
