ORDINANCE OF ·ri:IE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FiSCAL YEAR 1985-86 TO
PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE ENERGY
SE::RVICES ~ROGRAM OF THE ELECTRIC UTILITY -'NO TO
PROVIDE .FOR RECEIPT OF REVENUE FROM WESTERN AREA
POWER ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Articl.e lii
of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 24, 1985.
did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1985-86; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has established an Electric Incen
tives Pro~ram for Peak Demand Reductions (PARTNERS) within the Electric
Utility; and
WHEREAS 1 the City of Pale Alto has been awarded tund ing trom the
~'iestern Area Power Administration to support the lmplementat ion and
evaluation of a Thermal Energy Storage Progt~m:
NOW, THEREI.''ORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars {$30,00J) is appro
priated to Professional Services of the Energy S~L"vices Pro3:-am of the
Electric Utility and estimated revenue is ~~·)rr~spondingly i.ncreas~d to
reflect the receipt of revenue from the western Area Pow~r · Adildnistr,~-
tion. \
· S~CTION 2. The Council Finds that this project is categorically
exempt for purposes of the C.al i fornia Env irf)nmental Quality Act and no
environmental assessm~nt is neceasary. ·
SECTION 3. . This ordinance shall become effective iauaediately as
provided 1n Sectiori 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
