ORDINANCE O.F THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1985-86 TO
PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FOR CONSULTANT
SERVICES FOR ARNOLD & PORTER, CABLE COMMUNICATION'S 1,: I

WHEREAS., pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 qf Article III
of the Cha~ter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 24, 19851
did adopt a budget for .fiscal year 1985-86; and
WHEREAS, the Council entered into an agreement in March 1983 for
consultant services for cable franchising with Arnold & Porte~1 and
~HEREAS, additional costs were incurred during the course of this
contract: and
WHEREAS, th~ City of Palo Alto has agreed to make a final payment
for certain additional costs incurred;
NOW, THEREP.ORE, Lhe Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of Fifty-six Thousand Dollars ($56,000) is
appropr1ated to Professional Services of the Cable Television Program
in the Telecommunications Department and the Reserve for Capital Proj
ects is corrspondingly decreased.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this is not a project under the
California Environmeatal Qu~lity Act and, therefore, no environmental
impac~ assessment is nec&ssary.
SECTION 3.. This ordinance shall become effective imnlediately as
provided in Section 12 of Article III of the' ,.. ... er and Section.·
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
