HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 3651• ORIGINAL ORDINANCE NO. . 3651 ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1985-86 TO INCREASE Ti:iE RESERVE FOR UNDERGROUND SERVIft: CONNECTIONS IN THE ELECTRIC UTILITY WliERE~S, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article I~t of the Cl1arter 9f the city ·of Palo Ai to, the Counci 1 on June 24, 198~ ~· did adopt a btidget fot fiscal year 1985-86; and WHEREAS, the Council established Utility Underqround Asses::.aent Districts No. 26 on March 11, 1985, No. 27 on May 6, 1985, and No. 28 on May 20, 1985; and i ·f . ~ WH~RBA~, the Council desires to finance these Utility Underground ~ Assessment Districts in li~u of issuance of bonds; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds within the Electric Utility's System Improvement Reserve for financing the underground assessment loans; NO~~ THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The Reserve for Underground Service connections in the Electrl.c Utility is increased by Ninety Thousand Fifteen Dollars ($90,015) and the Reserve for System Improvement in the Electric Utility is correspondingly decreased. S~CTION 2. Interest earne~ on the cash balance of the Reserve 'for Underground Service Connections and interest received on the loan$ frata the Reserve for Underground ~ervice Connection:: will be credited to the ).{eserve tor System Improvement in the Electric Utility. SECTION 3. The Council f in~s that this. project is categ,orica.lly exempt for purposes of the California Emrironaent.al Quality Act and, therefore, no environmental assessment is necessary. · SECTION 4 •.
